William and Karen of Naperville, Illinois were married in a backyard garden, followed by a dinner party in his mother's beautiful 19th century farmhouse in Westchester County, New York. Only 25 invitations were sent, and all were welcomed at the rehearsal dinner, ceremony/reception, and Sunday morning brunch. The couple asked only that all three events be included in a unified way, and left the rest of the design to us. We chose a beautiful and traditional Italian floral paper, reminiscent of the wallpaper in the farmhouse dining room, as the starting point for the invitation. We custom cut the tri-panel square foldout card, dedicating each section to an invitation to one of the three weekend events. The celery green printed layers and envelopes are a luxurious Italian textured paper, printed in forest green ink with a silk screen process. With a nod to the tradition of using one's personal stationery to reply to a formal invitation, the couple opted for a folded notecard printed simply with the letters "RSVP" on the front, inviting guests to pen their own lovely sentiments inside. The square envelopes required extra postage, but the beautiful, coordinating floral seals on the back flap made it well worth the extra pennies!
