When we got the call during the Great Blizzard of 2010 to design an invitation for a Caribbean destination wedding, we were almost paralyzed by jealousy over the planned nuptials! We here in the studio managed to get over our snowbound envy just long enough to design this beautiful invitation ensemble. We started with a square pocket folder the color of shimmering white sand; ribbon, graphics and envelopes the color of the Caribbean Sea; and text in a vibrant coral. A single sea star die cut on the front of the package was repeated in ink on the invitation panel, a textured cream piece affixed to the interior of the card and mounted within a frame of pool cardstock. In the diagonal pocket we tucked coordinating response card and envelope, invitations to the reception and rehearsal dinner, and a map of the island of St.Thomas hand drawn by us here in the studio. We did an extra fine job on this one, hoping to score an invitation to the wedding itself. No dice, and we are still shoveling out.
