This beautiful wedding invitation was designed for Christian and Krista of Jericho, Vermont. They were married harborside in Kennebunkport, Maine, on a beautiful late summer day. Their party was outdoors, under a big white tent, and everything was covered in luscious mango and raspberry-colored daisies. The bridesmaids wore knee-length, strapless dresses in mango orange satin, with raspberry sashes at their waists. It was super yummy.
We designed an invitation to reflect the festive and not-too-formal mood the couple were trying to set, using a deep pink-orange cardstock, supple soft white printed pieces, and charming poppy-printed embellishments. To hold the invitation, directions and response card, we fashioned a vertical pocket folder complete with a flowered sash and cream satin ribbon. The invitation card and other pieces tucked neatly into the folder's interior pocket, encouraging guests to save the whole ensemble and carry it to the party in their cute party purses. Krista and Christian made the wise choice to save money by using an RSVP postcard; with its scalloped edges and coordinating flowered embellishment, it was as beautiful as the invitation itself.
