To celebrate the upcoming wedding of Julia in Riverside, California, her sister asked us to design an invitation that would incorporate her wedding colors (red, deep purples and greens) and a little bit of the vibe of the wedding venue (the historic Spanish Mission Inn). We gave her a petite yet beautiful gate-fold card in red, trimmed with purple satin ribbon and a beautiful tapestry-like paper in gold, eggplant, green and red. When the bow is untied and the gates are opened, a panel of Italian-style textured white paper matted onto deep purple is revealed. The text is printed here in a dark green, in a graceful and modern script. The invitation measures only 3.5x5 inches when closed, but we think it makes a beautiful statement and coordinates perfectly with the overall wedding theme.
