For a bridal luncheon on the day before niece Alison's Long Island wedding, Marianne requested a beautiful, traditional invitation with something special and unique about it. We created this 5 x7 inch flat card from four layers of paper. On the bottom is a lovely sage green card stock, and the invitation is printed on a supple white top layer. In between, an intricate salmon pink, blue and sage green floral print made in Italy. The pink in these peony blossoms is echoed in a hand cut wedding cake made from a textured Italian paper, each tier wrapped in a tiny sage green satin ribbon. The platter made of flowers and the blossoms on top of the cake are individually drawn onto each card. The text is printed in sage green and pale salmon pink, and the card is presented in an elegant sage green envelope.
