Three perfect smiles in a professional portrait were too much for this Maryland mom to pass up for her family Christmas card, but how to deal with the autumnal backdrop in the photo? Easy. First we printed the photo and text on real matte photo paper, allowing every detail and nuance of color in the photo to come through. We printed a graphic of trees in fall, but spruced them up with wintry berries, hand-applied in a rich red ink. Then we mounted the whole thing on a beautiful, shimmery cranberry cardstock that brings out all of the beautiful colors in the photo. So we paired the fall trees with fall colors that are also the color of winter berries, and a beautiful, cohesive look is created.
