Suni and Ajit of Washington, DC were gaga over their little baby girl before she had even arrived. With family in both the U.S. and India, the couple wanted to grandly announce their new bundle of joy with a little bit of an Indian vibe. We used a heavy chocolate cardstock and custom cut a vertical gatefold card roughly 4.5x6 inches in size. The front, square panel is matted with baby's photo, color printed in our studio and embedded in a chocolate frame and a field of blossom and strawberry dots. Baby's name appears below a sash of strawberry satin ribbon, in a slightly exotic font. The square piece folds open to reveal a very sweet elephant dressed in traditional costume, her upturned trunk a symbol of happiness in many cultures. This layout provides ample space for the custom graphic, lots of text, a fun pattern and some ribbon, without distracting from the most important feature: baby Mira's adorable little face!
