This announcement was designed before Benedicte was born, when parents Cory and Victor were still in the dark about whether it was a boy or a girl. Rather than come up with two separate, pink and blue versions, they opted for this beautiful gender neutral color palette. The chocolate backing and pool printed layer would be a perfect color combo for a baby of any variety! The card is an A10 size, which means it tucks neatly into a standard business sized envelope. But, of course, these were no standard envelopes! The envelopes were in a shade of plum to match the flowers behind the photo, and the flap was at the short end rather than on the long side of the envelope. Sophisticated, indeed! The photograph was taken by the parents and emailed to the Josie's Posies studio, where we cropped it, tinted it black and white, and printed it. It is matted on a tag printed with plum, pool, and chocolate poppies, and tied to the card with satin ribbon in violet. (paper: chocolate, pool, poppies in plum, photo glossy. ribbon: lavender satin.
